Engine Coolant Thermostat Replacement (LLU/A16LET)

/ 9-5 (9650) / 2011 / 2. Engine / Cooling system / Adjustment/replacement / Engine Coolant Thermostat Replacement (LLU/A16LET)

Removal Procedure

1.	Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LAU/A28NER) Cooling System Draining and Filling (LBS/A20DTH) Cooling System Draining and Filling (LHU/A20NFT) .

2.	Remove the fastener (4) from the radiator inlet hose (3).

3.	Remove the radiator inlet hose from the thermostat housing (5).

4.	Remove the fastener of the wiring harness bracket from the thermostat housing.

5.	Remove the 4 fasteners (4) and the coolant thermostat socket (3).

6.	Remove the engine coolant thermostat (1).

7.	Remove the engine coolant thermostat seal (2).

Installation Procedure

1.	Clean the sealing surface.

2.	Install the engine coolant thermostat (1).

3.	Install a NEW engine coolant thermostat seal (2).

4.	Install the 4 fasteners (4) and the coolant thermostat socket (3).

5.	Install the fastener of the wiring harness bracket to the thermostat housing.

6.	Install the radiator inlet hose to the thermostat housing (5).

7.	Install the fastener (4) to the radiator inlet hose (3).

8.	Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LAU/A28NER) Cooling System Draining and Filling (LBS/A20DTH) Cooling System Draining and Filling (LHU/A20NFT) .
