Lower and Upper Radiator Mounting Pin Repair (All Engines)

Repair Procedure

Pressure test the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Leak Testing .

Note
If the radiator is leaky, replace it. Refer to Radiator Replacement (Diesel) Radiator Replacement (LAU/A28NER) Radiator Replacement (LHU/A20NFT) .

Grind the fracture surface (1) with a proper tool.

Drill a persistent hole in center of the fracture surface, using a 6 mm (0.24 in) drill.

Note
The bolt should not be longer than 25 mm (0.98 in) .

Install the new radiator mounting pin (2).

Install the nut (3)

•

Install the radiator mounting pin (2) with the bolt (1)
