Tire Size Not Programmed
Circuit/System Description |
This diagnostic addresses if the ECM is not programmed with the tire size.
Conditions for Running the DTC |
• |
The ignition is ON.
|
• |
This DTC runs continuously once the above conditions are met.
|
Conditions for Setting the DTC |
The ECM detects that the tire size is not programmed in the EEPROM for greater than 1 second.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets |
• |
DTC P161C 00 is a Type C DTC.
|
• |
The service vehicle soon indicator will illuminate.
|
Conditions for Clearing the DTC |
DTC P161C 00 is a Type C DTC.

Program the ECM. Refer to Control Module References . If DTC P161C 00 sets after programming, perform the following steps:

Ensure that all tool connections are secure.

Ensure that the programming equipment is operating correctly.
|
• |
Ensure the correct software and the correct calibrations are being used.
|
• |
Attempt to program the ECM.
|
• |
If DTC P161C 00 sets, replace the K20 Engine Control Module.
|
