Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Replacement (FWD)

Removal Procedure


1. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe housing. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement .

2. Drain the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining .

3. Disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe quick connect fitting (1) from the chassis fuel feed pipe (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .


4. Disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe retainer (3) from the chassis fuel pipe (4).

5. Disconnect the fuel tank filler door lock actuator wiring harness electrical connector (1).


6. Remove the both fuel tank filler pipe fasteners (2).


Installation Procedure


1. Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install both fuel tank filler pipe fasteners (2) and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in) .


2. Connect the fuel tank filler door lock actuator wiring harness electrical connector (1).

3. Connect the fuel tank filler pipe retainer (3) from the chassis fuel pipe (4) and tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb in) .


4. Connect the fuel tank filler pipe quick connect fitting (1) from the chassis fuel feed pipe (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

5. Install the fuel tank filler pipe housing. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement .
