1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

2. Remove the engine shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .

Battery Cable Fastener (Qty: 3)

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

Remove the cable from the starter motor.

Tighten

8 Nm (71 lb in)

Tighten

22 Nm (16 lb in)
