Odometer Circuit General Memory Malfunction
Circuit/System Description |
The instrument cluster is equipped with odometers that indicate the distance traveled by the vehicle. One type of odometer is the season odometer where the traveled distance can not be reset by the driver. This information is also stored in the body control module (BCM). In addition to saving the car's season odometer reading, the combi instrument and BCM save the VIN. Software checks are run to make sure that these modules and their saved season odometer information cannot be moved or transferred between different vehicles.
Conditions for Running the DTC |
The ignition is ON.
Conditions for Setting the DTC |
The BCM has detected an internal memory malfunction.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets |
DTC B0550 32 is stored in the BCM memory.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC |
The BCM no longer detects a malfunction.
