Circuit/System Testing |
Parking Assist Switch Malfunction
1. |
Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 harness connector at the K41 Parking Assist Control Module.
|
2. |
Test for infinite resistance between the input signal circuit terminal 8 X1 at the K41 Parking Assist Control Module harness connector and ground.
|
3. |
If less than the specified value, test input signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the S48E Multifunction Switch - Center Console.
|
4. |
If all circuits test normal, replace the K41 Parking Assist Control Module.
|
Parking Assist Switch Indicator Malfunction
1. |
Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 harness connector at the K41 Parking Assist Control Module and the harness connector at the S48E Multifunction Switch - Center Console.
|
2. |
Ignition ON, test for greater than 11 V between the ignition circuit terminal 3 and ground.
|
3. |
If less than the specified value, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
|
4. |
Test for less than 0.3 V between the control circuit terminal 3 X1 at the K41 Parking Assist Control Module harness connector and ground.
|
5. |
If greater than the specified value, test the control circuit for a short to voltage.
|
6. |
Ignition OFF, test for infinite resistance between the control circuit terminal 3 X1 at the K41 Parking Assist Control Module harness connector and ground.
|
7. |
If less than the specified value, test control circuit for a short to ground.
|
8. |
Test for less than 5 Ω between the S48E Multifunction Switch - Center Console control circuit terminal 6 and the control circuit terminal 3 X1 at the K41 Parking Assist Control Module harness connector
|
9. |
If greater than the specified value, test the control circuit for an open/high resistance.
|
10. |
If all circuits test normal, connect the X1 harness connector to the K41 Parking Assist Control Module, replace the S48E Multifunction Switch - Center Console and verify the DTC does not reset.
|
11. |
If the DTC resets, replace the K41 Parking Assist Control Module.
