Circuit/System Verification |
Ignition ON, observe the scan tool Vehicle Direction Camera Switch Status parameter while pressing and releasing the lane departure warning switch. The parameter should change between Open and Closed.
Circuit/System Testing |
1. |
Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the S48E Multifunction Switch - Center Console.
|
2. |
Test for less than 10 Ω between the S48E Multifunction Switch - Center Console ground circuit terminal 2 and ground.
|
3. |
If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
|
4. |
Ignition ON, verify the scan tool Vehicle Direction Camera Switch Status parameter is Open.
|
5. |
If not the specified value, test the signal circuit terminal 7 for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K74 Vehicle Direction Camera Control Module.
|
6. |
Install a 3 A fused jumper wire between the signal circuit terminal 7 and ground circuit terminal 2. Verify the scan tool Vehicle Direction Camera Switch Status parameter is Closed.
|
7. |
If not the specified value, test the signal circuit terminal for a short to battery or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K74 Vehicle Direction Camera Control Module.
|
8. |
If all circuits test normal, replace the S48E Multifunction Switch - Center Console.
