|
The fluid check bolt at the front of the transmission may not be opened.
|
•
|
The transmission fluid that is drained during the Pre-Delivery Inspection may be re-used. New transmission fluid must be used during service work.
The transmission fluid must be brought up to operating temperature before draining.
|
4.

Clean away all dirt and debris from the transmission fluid drain fastener area.
|
5.
|
Position an appropriate container under the transmission.
|
6.
|
Remove the transmission fluid drain fastener (1).
|
7.
|
Allow the transmission fluid to drain into the container.
|

Install a new transmission fluid drain plug and tighten to
20 Nm (15 lb ft)

Remove the container used to catch the used transmission fluid from under the vehicle.
|

Clean away all dirt and debris from the transmission fluid fill fastener area.
|
2.
|
Remove the transmission fluid fill fastener (1).
|

Note
|
If a new transmission is installed, it must be filled with 1.7 liters of transmission fluid because the new transmission contains 0.68 liters of transmission fluid from the factory.
|
Install a new transmission fluid filler plug and tighten to
30 Nm (22 lb ft)
