Differential Clutch Oil Replacement

Warning
|
The hydraulic pressure in the differential clutch is very high. To prevent personal injury, wait for at least 10 minutes before removing any parts from the differential clutch.

Raise the vehicle
|

Warning
|
It is very important to observe maximum cleanliness when working on the differential clutch. Dirt particles can seriously damage the function and service life of the differential clutch.
|
|
|
|
|
Remove the differential clutch cover. Refer to
Differential Clutch Oil Filter Replacement
and drain the fluid.
|
3.
|
Fit the cover with a NEW gasket.
|
4.
|
Remove the level plug (1).
|
5.
|
Fill with fluid up to the edge using a clean funnel and hose.
|
6.

Refer to
Fastener Caution
.
Install the level plug (1) and tighten to
14 Nm (10 lb ft)
.

7.
|
Lower the car to the floor.
|
8.
|
Run the engine at idling speed for 60 seconds to distribute the fluid. Switch off the engine.
|
10.
|
Remove the level plug (1).
|
11.
|
Fill with fluid up to the edge using a clean funnel and hose.
|
12.
|
Install the level plug (1) and tighten to
14 Nm (10 lb ft)
.

13.
|
Lower the car to the floor.
