Procedure
1.
|
Place
CH-6247
Tie Rod Wrench on the flats of the steering linkage inner tie rod housing.
|
2.
|
Rotate the steering linkage inner tie rod housing counterclockwise until the steering linkage inner tie rod separates from the rack.
|
3.
|
Remove the old locking agent from the threads of the rack and the steering linkage inner tie rod.
|
Note
|
A 2.5 mm shim (see graphic) is used for vehicles with wheels up to 18 inches and a 5.6 mm shim is used for vehicles with 19 inch and 20 inch wheels.

Tighten
60 Nm (44 lb ft)
