Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .

2. Remove the front bumper fascia center support bracket. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Center Support Bracket Replacement .

3. Remove the hood primary latch. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Replacement .

4. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .

5. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

6. Remove the front end inflatable restraint discriminating sensor. Refer to Front End Inflatable Restraint Discriminating Sensor Replacement .

7. Remove the hood front bumper bracket. Refer to Hood Front Bumper Bracket Replacement .

Front End Upper Tie Bar Fastener (Qty: 4)

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten

22 Nm (16 lb ft)
