Replacement of balance-shaft bearings

1.

Remove the cover washer.
|
|
2.
|
Insert special tool 83 94 470 from the flywheel end and fit the pull rod with nut.
|
|
3.
|
Slowly and steadily tighten the nut to remove the bearing.
|
|

|
Clean the bearing surface in the cylinder block.
|
|
2.
|
Fit the bearing on assembly tool 83 94 470.
|
|
3.
|
Insert the assembly tool from the flywheel end and fit the pull rod with nut.
|
|
4.
|
Tighten the nut until the mark on the tool is in line with the edge of the hole for the cover washer. The bearing is now in the correct position.
|
|
5.
|
Dismantle and remove the special tool.
|
|
6.
|
Check that the oil passage is open.
|
|
7.
|
Fit a new cover washer.
|
