Ticking EVAP canister purge valve
|
Saab 900 M94 up to chassis No. R2028085.
A clicking sound can be heard from the right-hand side of the instrument panel.
It is apparent that the sound is coming from the evaporative emission canister air purging
valve. The valve runs only when the coolant temperature is higher than 60°C
(140°F), which means that the valve cannot be heard when the engine is
cold.
