To remove |
1. |
Remove the resonator (air
silencer).
|
2. |
Disconnect the crankcase breather hose and remove the IAC
valve with hoses.
|
3. |
Unplug the connector, undo the two retaining screws and
remove the sensor. Note the O-ring.
|
To fit |
1. |
Make sure that the O-ring is
correctly positioned and fit the
sensor onto the throttle spindle. Tighten the retaining
screws.
|
2. |
Plug in the connector, fit the IAC valve with hoses and the
crankcase breather hose.
|
3. |
Fit the resonator (air silencer). Note the condition of the
O-ring and its positioning. There must be no leakage of air.
|
Important | ||
In connection with the inspection or replacement of components entailing removal of the resonator (air silencer), special attention must always be paid to the condition and positioning of the two O-rings. |
||
Swollen or incorrectly positioned O-rings may be the cause of air leakage. This in turn could give rise to drivability problems, the storage of diagnostic trouble codes in the control module and consequent fault diagnosis measures. |
