B1432 : The left-hand direction indicators are shorted to ground.Diagnostic procedure

Activate the direction
indicator switch and check the power supply to the direction indicator lamps by taking readings
as follows:
|
• |
across pin 2 of the connector for the front direction
indicator lamps and a good grounding point.
|
• |
across the connector for the side direction indicators (yellow/black lead) and
a good grounding point.
|
• |
between connector contact pin 2 of the rear direction indicator lamps and a good
grounding point.
The readings should change between 0 V and 12 V. |

If it does not, connect a BOB and check the leads for shorting to ground
as follows:
|
• |
across pin 1 of the ICE module connector and pin 2 of
the front left-hand direction indicator lamp.
|
• |
across pin 48 of the ICE module connector and the connector for the left-hand
side direction indicator (green/black lead).
|
• |
across pin 1 of the ICE module connector and pin 2 of the connector for the left-
hand rear direction indicator lamp.
