Hazard flashers
Hazard flashers |
When the hazard flasher switch is activated, the contact in the switch closes and grounds ICE module pin 21. The ICE module supplies power to the left-hand and right-hand direction indicator lamps and to the indicator lamps in the main instrument display panel, which start to flash at the same time. When the switch is activated, the lamp in the switch also lights up and flashes at full strength.
If the hazard flashers are activated for a lengthy period, the time between each flash will be prolonged. This is done to spare the battery and prevent the ICE control module from overheating.
