Speed signal

Speed signal

1. Raise the front LH wheel. Spin the wheel at a speed of 1/2 a revolution per second (30 revs per minute).

The frequency should be about 15 Hz on pin K (10) of the Cruise Control connector.

2. If there is no signal, connect a BOB to the wiring of the ABS control module.

Check the wiring for continuity or a short circuit by measuring the resistance across pin K (10) of the Cruise Control connector and pin 17 of the ABS control module connector.

If the resistance is > 1 ohm, rectify the fault.

If the resistance is > 1 ohm, continue fault diagnosis as described in Service Manual 5 "ABS anti-lock brakes".
