For some markets, the car is also equipped with a high-level brake light.
An indicator lamp in the main instrument panel is provided as a telltale for the bulbs in the headlamps and the rear light clusters. It is activated by a filament monitor for the front lamps and by the ICE (Integrated Central Electronics) control module for the lamps at the rear.
The headlamps have two separate filaments for main beam and dipped beam.
The dipswitch is incorporated in the direction- indicator stalk on the left below the steering wheel. A blue warning lamp in the main instrument panel lights up when the headlamps are on main beam. Cars for certain markets have an additional warning lamp that comes on whenever the lights are switched on, whether main or dipped.
Depending on the market specification, the headlamps have either a left-hand or right-hand asymmetric dipped beam.
