Programming main instrument display panel

It is possible to program main instrument display panel 2 by means of a Scan
Tool. During programming, the Scan Tool does
not
show how
the instrument is programmed and the procedure described cannot therefore be used to
check this.
The main instrument display panel must be programmed in connection with
replacement of the processor card or the complete unit.

Before you start programming it is advisable to make a note of the odometer's
unit of measurement (km or miles), engine version, tyre size and odometer reading. These
details are needed for programming the main instrument display panel.

Select PROGRAMMING in the MAIN
INSTRUMENT 2 menu.
|
2.
|
Continue to the programming phase with F1 or end with ESC.
|
3.
|
State whether the instrument is to use km or miles as the unit of
measurement.
Select using F3 or F4.
|
4.
|
State type of engine, may be B258 (V6), B206-234- 204I (4-cyl) or B204L (turbo).
Select using F3 or F4.
|
5.
|
If engine type B204L (turbo) was selected, 2 additional choices must be made in
displays 4a and 4b. State the type of gearbox. Select using F3 or F4.

6.
|
If the car is of environmental class 1 type, it is equipped with heat plates. Select
using F3 or F4.
|
7.
|
State the car's tyre size, may be 185/65, 195/60 or 205/50.
Select using F3 or F4.
|
8.
|
State odometer reading in previously selected unit of measurement.
Be sure to state the correct reading. It is not possible to program a lower
reading than that shown on the odometer.

9.
|
Confirm the entered odometer reading.
|
10.
|
Program the instrument with the entered details.
This is
your last chance to interrupt programming.

11.
|
This menu confirms that programming has been carried out.
|
12.
|
This menu is shown if programming was interrupted with ESC.
