| Fault symptoms |
The warning lamp does not light up when the ignition switch is turned to the Drive position.
| Diagnostic procedure |

If a fault occurs in the warning
lamp 1 circuit, diagnostic trouble code B1227 or B1228 in the airbag system will be generated
and the central warning lamp will remain on continuously. Continue fault diagnosis in "Airbag"
M1994
or 8:6 "SRS (airbag)" M1995.

If the bulb is OK and no other faults can be found, remove the main instrument
display panel's rear section complete with processor card and check that all leads
between the processor card and the intermediate part are securely located. If any lead has
worked loose or is broken, continue on

If the leads are OK, the fault is probably in the intermediate part with lamp bulbs and
indicating instruments. Continue on
