Checking direction indicators

The direction indicators are constantly lit
1.

Check the normal direction indicator function by turning on the hazard flashers. If it does not function, proceed with fault diagnosis according to Service manual 3:5 Electrical system, instrument in section "Fault diagnosis ICE".

Connect ISAT, select "ACTIVATE", then "FLASHERS". Activate the direction indicators with "ON". The direction indicators should be lit continuously.

3.
|
If not, select "READ VALUES" on the ISAT menu (leave "activate" function "ON") and then select "RELAY, FLASHERS". Read off the display.
When flashers are activated -
"ACTIVE"
If not correct, proceed to step 5.
|
4.
|
If correct in step 3, check the wiring harness for short-circuit to voltage supply by measuring resistance between:
|
|
•
|
control module connection pin 12 and connections for left direction indicators.
|
|
•
|
control module connection pin 25 and connections for right direction indicators.
The resistance should be < 1 Ohm.
