Checking LED
Checking LED |
Fault symptom |
LED does not light
Action |
1. |
Connect ISAT, select "READ VALUES", then select "LED" and activate the LED with "ON". If the LED lights up, proceed with fault diagnosis on page
.
|
2. |
If the LED does not light up, connect BOB, disconnect the diode and check the voltage at the control module while repeating step 1.
Measure between control module connection pin 19 and a good grounding point. The voltage must be approximately 5 V. |
3. |
If the resistance is correct, connect a diode test across the LED and check that the voltage is:
|
• |
1.6 V in forward direction.
|
• |
OL in rear direction.
|
4. |
Check the wiring harness for short-circuit/open circuit by measuring resistance between:
|
• |
control module connection pin 19 and LED connection pin 2.
|
• |
LED connection pin 1 and a good grounding point.
The resistance should be < 1 Ohm. |
