Differential bearing race in clutch case.

Condition: gearbox removed from car


1. Remove the four screws of the seal holder. Lift out the screws and the seal holder and remove the O-ring.


2. Carefully tap out the bearing race with a hammer and a drift (destructive removal).

Important

Tap the same amount on both sides!



Fitting



1. Fit (press) the new bearing race in place as far as it will go, using tools 87 91 246 and 87 91 204. . Use support 87 92 236

2. Refit the seal holder with its O-ring. Tighten the screws alternately.



Tightening torque 22 Nm (16 lbf ft).
