Saab 900 M94-
with 4-cylinder engine up to and
including engine serial No. S086809 without turbo and with manual gearbox.
Saab 9000 M94-
with 4-cylinder engine up to and
including engine serial No. S086810 without turbo and with manual gearbox.
On some cars a rattling sound may be heard during light acceleration and when
the engine is under load between 1200 and 2200 rpm. This noise is made by the clutch plate.
In the event of customer complaints, the following procedure can be
adopted.

In the event of a rattling sound occurring between 800 and 1200 rpm, see SI 471-1601.

Change the clutch plate. See
Service Manual 4:1 "Manual gearbox",

Drive the car on test and check that the remedy has had the desired effect. If the
rattling sound persists, see SI 471-1601.
