The gear selector position sensor incorporates two potentiometers. One of them registers the transverse movements of the gear lever relative to the car. (0-5 V).

GEAR LEVER SENSOR

The gear lever incorporates an inductive sensor. The output signal from the sensor is proportional to the force exerted on it. At zero force the nominal output voltage is 2.5 V (0-5 V).
