Removal |
1. |
Lift the car and remove the
wheel.

2. |
Press back the piston with a pair of grips.
|
3. |
Depress the brake pedal with a brake clamp.
|
4. |
Remove the two brake caliper securing bolts and take away the brake caliper.
|
5. |
Loosen the hose from the brake caliper.

Fitting |

1. |
Fit the brake hose to the brake
caliper.
|
2. |
Fit the brake caliper, use locking compound and tighten the two brake caliper
securing bolts.
Tightening torque 105 Nm (77.5 lbf ft) |
3. |
Bleed the brake system.

4. |
Fit the wheels and tighten the wheel studs.
Tightening torque - light alloy wheels 117 Nm (77.5-95.9 lbf ft) - pressed steel wheels 100 Nm (74 lbf ft) |
Disassembly |

1. |
Remove the brake caliper.
|
2. |
Remove the brake pads.
|
3. |
Clean the hydraulic body.
|
4. |
Force the piston out with compressed air through the hose
connection.

Remove the dust cover and
piston seal.
|
2. |
Check for damage due to wear.
|
Assembly |

1. |
Lubricate the piston seal with
the grease supplied with the kit. Also fill the dust cover with grease.
|
2. |
Position the new piston seal in the groove on the brake cylinder.
|
3. |
Slip the dust cover onto the piston.
|
4. |
Press the collar of the dust cover into the groove on the brake cylinder.
|
5. |
Press the piston into the brake cylinder.
|
6. |
Fit the brake pads.
|
7. |
Fit the brake pads.
|
