Slacken the locking bolt slightly.

Slacken the nut slightly.
|

| 3. |
Use special tool 89 96 696 to press out the track rod end.

Remove the nut.
|

| 5. |
Measure the length of thread on the adjusting screw.
|

| 6. |
Unscrew the track-rod end (using an adjustable spanner to hold the adjusting screw).

Screw in the track-rod end to the correct thread length on the adjusting screw.

| 2. |
Fit the track-rod end to the MacPherson strut and tighten it, using a torque wrench.
Tightening torque: 60 Nm (44.3 lbf ft).

Tighten the locking bolt, using a torque wrench.
Tightening torque: 22 Nm (16.2 lbf ft). |

Check the toe-in and adjust as necessary.
