| 1. |
Remove the negative lead from
the battery.

| 2. |
Remove the bolts that secure the steering wheel airbag.
|
|
| 3. |
Lift out the steering wheel airbag and disconnect the electric
connection.
|
|
| 4. |
Disconnect the horn buttons' electrical connection.
|
|
| 5. |
Position the wheels in the straight forward position.
|
|
| 6. |
Remove the nut and lift off the steering wheel.
|
|
| 7. |
Remove the bolts securing the contact roller.
|
|
| 8. |
Unplug the connectors and lift off the contact roller.

| Fitting |

Open the transport lock on the
contact roller.
|
|
| 2. |
Place the contact roller in position and connect the electrical
leads.
|
|
| 3. |
Tighten the bolts that secure the contact roller.
|
|
| 4. |
Set the contact roller center position as follows:
|

| 4.a. |
Check that the wheels are pointed straight
forward.
|
| 4.b. |
Turn the contact roller clockwise to its end position.
|
| 4.c. |
Turn the contact roller back 2.5 turns.
|
| 5. |
Place the steering wheel in position and tighten the steering wheel nut.
Tightening torque: 39 Nm (28.8 lbf ft) |

| 6. |
Connect the horn buttons' electric lead.
|
|
| 7. |
Plug in the connector on the back of the steering wheel airbag.
|
|
| 8. |
Tighten the bolts that secure the steering wheel airbag.
|
|
| 9. |
Connect the negative battery lead.
|
|
| 10. |
Connect the ISAT to the data link connector under the facia and erase any
diagnostic trouble codes.
|
|
| 11. |
Start the engine and check that the SRS lamp comes on for about 3-4 seconds
and then goes out.
