Control module voltage feed
Control module voltage feed |
The control module is designed to operate on a power supply of between 7 and 16 volts. When the power supply is 7-9 volts, the diagnostics mode is turned off (no diagnostic trouble codes are generated) but the airbags will be triggered in the event of a collision.
If the power supply is continuously outside the operating range (9-16 V) so that the diagnostics mode cannot be activated, the warning lamp will come on after 20 seconds and then remain on.
Connector |
The control module's connector has 4 short-circuit contacts which operate in pairs to short-circuit the leads connected to the two electric detonators as well as between the leads for the two warnings lamps and ground.
Diagnostics with ISAT |
Communication with the ISAT scan tool is via pin 11. The data link connector is located under the dashboard below the steering wheel.
