| 1. | 
        Drill out the spot welds.

| 2. | 
        Grind down the welds securing the roof to the A and C pillars.
         | 
      |
| 3. | 
        Knock away the roof and realign any deformed metalwork.
         | 
      |
| 4. | 
        Use a grinder to clean the areas on the new roof and body that are to be welded.
         | 
      |
| 5. | 
        Apply welding primer to the surfaces which are to be spot welded. Use Teroson Zinkspray.
         | 
      |
| 6. | 
        Apply putty to the roof member as shown. Use Terostat 1K-PUR.
         
        
         | 
      |
| 7. | 
        Position the new roof and fix it with a few welding clamps.
         
        
         | 
      |
| 8. | 
        Fit the windscreen and tailgate, check the fit of the roof.
         | 
      |
| 9. | 
        Spot weld the roof in place.
         | 
      |
| 10. | 
        Seam weld the roof to the A and C pillars.
         | 
      |
| 11. | 
        Grind the welds clean.
         | 
      |
| 12. | 
        Wash off surplus welding primer. Welding primer makes for poorer adhesion of paint, filler and sealant.
         | 
      |
| 13. | 
        Apply primer to all surfaces that have been ground clean. Use Standox 1K Füllprimer.
         | 
      |
| 14. | 
        Seal joints and metal folds with putty. Use Terostat 1K-PUR.
         | 
      |
| 15. | 
        Apply anti-corrosion agent to the inside surfaces of the roof edge after painting. Use Terotex HV 400 or Mercasol 1.
