Procedure A: Reinforcement plate in rear floor pan

1. Lift out the floor mat and fold aside the luggage compartment trim on the right-hand wheel housing.

2. Check for corrosion round the edge of the reinforcement plate. If the edge is rusty, proceed to point 3. If there is no rust, proceed to point 5.

3. Scrape and grind off the rust.

4. Paint the treated surface with Standox 1K Füllprimer undercoat.

5. Apply Terostat 1K PUR putty round the reinforcement plate and inside hole A.

6. Paint the places where putty has been applied, using the car's finish paint.

7. Apply Terotex HV 400 to the underside of the reinforcement plate by spraying it through holes B.

8. Fold back the luggage compartment trim and fit the floor mat. Proceed to Procedure B, point 6.
