To remove |

Drain the AC system of refrigerant.

Remove the grille.
|
3. |
Remove the horn.
|
4. |
Remove the direction indicator on the left-hand side.
|
5. |
Remove the headlamp on the left-hand side of the car.
|

Cars with a turbo engine: Remove the charge air cooler and the pipe between the charge air cooler and intake manifold. See Service Manual 2:4 Exhaust system, cooling system, turbo system

7. |
Unplug the connector from the receiver's pressure switch (two pressure switches in hot climate markets).
|
8. |
Remove the condenser's two retaining bolts and lift out the condenser.
|
9. |
Remove the bolt in the receiver's PAD connection. Plug the openings.

To fit |
1. |
Suspend the condenser in position and tighten the two retaining bolts.
|
2. |
Fit new O-rings on the pipes connected to the receiver. Lubricate the O-rings with synthetic vaseline.

3. |
Fit the hoses in the PAD connection and tighten the bolt.
Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.6 lbf ft) |
4. |
Plug in the connector on the receiver's pressure switch (two pressure switches in hot-climate countries).

Cars with turbo engine: Refit the charge air cooler. See Service Manual 2:4 Exhaust system, cooling system, turbo system

6. |
Fill up with compressor oil, carry out vacuum pumping of the AC system and fill up with refrigerant.
