Background

The internal window seal on some cars can lift up a few mm at the rear edge. Follow the directions below to rectifiy this complaint.

Screw (2): 79 75 535 (CA:30509241)

Action


1. Push down the door strip to the correction position. Remove the door panel.

2. Lower the window.

Important

Protect the window from drilling damage by putting a putty knife (or something similar) between the internal window seal and the window.


3. Drill a 2mm hole approximately 10mm (on 3-door) or approximately 55mm (for convertible) from the rear of the internal window seal.

Drill through the seal and flange.

4. Fit the screw, P/N 79 75 535 in the hole.

5. Protect the flange from corrosion.

6. Refit the door panel.
