Checking the functioning of the data link connector

Contact cannot be established with the diagnostics instrument.

1.
|
Check that fuse 13 is intact and that there is power to the fuse.
|
|
2.
|
Check that there is 12 V between connection 16 in the data link connector and a safe grounding point. Also check the grounding in connections 4 and 5.
|
|
3.
|
Check the wiring between the data link connector and the ICE control module for open circuits/short circuits.
|
|
4.
|
Check the diagnostics instrument, SDA, and the wiring for it by carrying out tests with another diagnostics instrument.
