Crankshaft position sensor

The crankshaft position sensor is located at the flywheel end of the
engine block, below the oil filter.

Remove the engine
covers.
|
2.
|
Unplug the sensor's connector (by the left-hand side of the intake
manifold).
|
3.
|
Note how the wiring is run and the locations of the fastening points
for the cable ties. Then remove the wiring.

4.
|
Raise the car. Undo the sensor retaining bolt and remove the sensor.
Note how the sealing ring is positioned.

Clean the sensor seating and fit
the sealing ring in the seating.
|
2.
|
Fit the sensor.
Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 lbf ft)
|
3.
|
Refit the wiring and secure it with cable ties.
|
4.
|
Plug in the connector.
|
5.
|
Fit the engine covers back in place.
