    The crankshaft position sensor is located at the flywheel end of the
engine block, below the oil filter.
    
    
    
      
    
    
   
   
  
  
   
  
  
  
   
    
     
      | 1. | Remove the engine
covers. 
 
 | 
    
   
  
  
   
    
     
      | 2. | Unplug the sensor's connector (by the left-hand side of the intake
manifold). 
 
   
 | 
    
   
  
  
   
    
     
      | 3. | Note how the wiring is run and the locations of the fastening points
for the cable ties. Then remove the wiring. 
 
 | 
    
   
  
  
   
    
     
      | 4. | Raise the car. Undo the sensor retaining bolt and remove the sensor.
Note how the sealing ring is positioned. 
 
 | 
    
   
  
  
  
  
   
   
     
   
   
  
  
  
   
    
     
      | 1. | Clean the sensor seating and fit
the sealing ring in the seating. 
 
 | 
    
   
  
  
   
    
     
      | 2. | Fit the sensor. 
 Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 lbf ft)

      | 3. | Refit the wiring and secure it with cable ties. 
 
 | 
    
   
  
  
   
    
     
      | 4. | Plug in the connector. 
 
 | 
    
   
  
  
   
    
     
      | 5. | Fit the engine covers back in place.
