| To remove |
To avoid unnecessarily high wastage of fuel during work, the fuel system must be run dry as follows: start the engine and remove fuse 32 during the time the engine is running. Do not switch off the ignition until the engine has stopped.
| 1. | Take off the engine cover. | |
| 2. | Disconnect the hose for crankcase ventilation and the idle air control valve with
hoses. | |
| 3. | Remove the dipstick bracket and the throttle and cruise control cables. | |
| 4. | Remove the 2 bolts for the cable groove and the 2 screws for the fuel-
injection rail.   | |
| 5. | Carefully lift up the fuel-injection rail with the injectors. Make sure you have paper or something similar to hand to soak up fuel that escapes from the fuel-injection rail/injectors. | |
| 6. | Remove the two fixing rails and unplug the connectors from the injectors. | |
| 7. | Remove the mounts securing the valves to the fuel-injection rail and pull out the
injectors. | |
| To fit |
Fitting is carried out in the reverse order.
| Note | ||
| Lubricate the "O" rings with petroleum jelly to ease fitting. |
| Important | ||
| Check that the correct connector is connected to the right injector (marked on the wiring). | ||
