Diagnostic procedure


1. Connect a BOB to the ICE module and another BOB to the SID unit. Check the wiring between pin 37 of the ICE module connector and pin 8 of the SID unit's connector for shorting to battery positive.

2. Connect the ICE control module and ground pin 8 of the SID unit. Select "ACT. INSTR. FUNCT" and "SID OUTPUT" and then take a voltmeter reading across pin 37 of the ICE module connector and ground.


3. If the reading obtained is 0 V with the ignition switch "ON", the fault is probably in the SID unit which should then be changed. If the reading obtained is not 0 V, proceed to .
