Positive cable attachment beside automatic
transmission fluid pipe
|
Saab 900 M95 and M96 with turbo engine and automatic between chassis
numbers: S2000001-S2033849 - T2000001-T2000167
Attachment of positive cable beside the automatic transmission fluid level pipe is
inadequate. This is partly the fault of the nut securing the fluid level pipe bracket, and partly
that of the positive cable clamp which does not lock properly. This can cause the fluid level
pipe to become detached, resulting in leakage, and can cause the positive cable to come too
close to the exhaust pipe, resulting in it melting.
As the positive cable has a new fixing, the attachment of the positive and negative leads
to the battery tray must also be changed.
