The different positions of the switch are as follows:
NEUTRAL: In the neutral position, no current is supplied to any of the terminals A, B or C.
TIP: To the left, between the neutral and ON/OFF positions, is a position called TIP.
When the Cruise Control system is activated (ON) and in operation, the CRUISE lamp goes out to indicate that the switch has been moved to the TIP position.
In the TIP position, current is supplied to terminals B and C of the control module and the Cruise Control system is disengaged.
ON/OFF: Further to the left of the neutral position is the ON/ OFF position.
In the ON/OFF position, current is supplied to control module terminals A, B and C.
In the ON/OFF position, the Cruise Control system is alternately ON and OFF each time the button is pressed.
If no current is present on one or more of the terminals, the ON/OFF button will not be operative.
RES/ : Current is supplied to terminal C of the control module. Three functions are available in this position:

When the Cruise Control
system is engaged and its memory is empty, this position can be used as a SET function, i.e.
the current speed is stored in the memory.

After activation of the brake or clutch pedal, the Cruise Control can be
reset to the original speed by pressing RES/ .

If the SET button is pressed while the Cruise
Control system is activated, the current speed will be stored in the Cruise Control memory.
