Replacement of spark plugs and HT leads,
MOTRONIC (V6 engine)

1.

Remove the engine covers.
|
2.
|
Remove the three front spark plugs/HT leads.
|
3.
|
Remove the air induction hose from between the air cleaner and the
throttle body.
|
4.
|
Remove the seven nuts securing the upper part of the intake manifold.
|
5.
|
Slacken the lower and remove the upper bolt from the intake manifold
bracket.
|
6.
|
Unplug the idle air control valve connector.
|
7.
|
Disconnect the vacuum hose.
|
8.
|
Remove the brake servo hose from the intake manifold.
|
9.
|
Remove the cable conduit.
|
10.
|
Disconnect the leads from the TCS throttle body and main throttle
body.
|
11.
|
Remove the three hoses located underneath
the throttle body.
|
12.
|
Carefully lift off the upper part of the intake
manifold and place
it on the engine in the centre.
Important
|
Cover or plug the inlets to the engine so that dirt and other foreign
objects are prevented from getting into the engine.

|
|
13.
|
Remove the three rear spark plugs/HT leads.
|
14.
|
Bend up the intake manifold and clean the flanges. Fit a new
gasket.
|
On refitting, the seven nuts must be tightened in the order
shown.
Tightening torque, spark plugs: 25-29 Nm (18.5-21.5 lbf
ft).
Tightening torque, intake manifold: 20 Nm (15 lbf
ft)
