Fault symptom

Alarm not armed. Doors disconnected from alarm function.

Action


1. Check "DOOR OPEN" pilot lamp

Close all doors. Open and close one door at a time an check the main instrument DOOR OPEN pilot lamp. repeat this process for all the doors.

If the pilot lamp works correctly, proceed to point 4. If the pilot lamp does not work correctly, proceed to point 2.

2. Check diagnostic trouble codes in ICE

Connect the ISAT scan tool. Select "ICE". Select "READ FAULT CODES". Check if diagnostic trouble code B1437, "DOOR OPEN" pilot lamp shorted to BPV, is stored.

If the diagnostic trouble code is there, continue fault diagnosis in Service Manual 3:5 Electrical System, "ICE" . If there is no diagnostic trouble code, proceed to point 3.

3. Check "DOOR OPEN" pilot lamp

Select "ICE". Select "ACT.INSTR.FUNCT". Select "DOOR INDIC.LAMP". By selecting "ON" and "OFF" respectively, the above command controls the "DOOR OPEN" pilot lamp.

If the pilot lamp lights when activated, continue fault diagnosis in Service Manual 3:5 Electrical System, "ICE" , checking door switches. If the pilot lamp lights continuously, proceed to point 5 when other parts have been checked as above. If the pilot lamp does not light, continue fault diagnosis in Service Manual 3:5 Electrical System, "ICE" or "MIU" .

4. Check if the door switches are working

Select "ANTI-THEFT ALARM". Select "READ VALUES".

Select "PASSENGER DOOR". Close all doors. Open and close one door at a time and check the scan tool display. Repeat the process for all doors.

If the scan tool display is correct, proceed to point 6. If the scan tool display is incorrect, proceed to point 5.

5. Check the cable assembly to the control module

Conduct a continuity test on the cable assembly between connector H33-3, pin 8 and the control module, pin 4. The resistance should be < 1 Ohm.

If the resistance is incorrect, take action on the cable assembly. If the resistance is correct, proceed to point 6.

6. Final test

Check to see if the fault symptom remains. If the problem remains, proceed to .
