All Saab 900 M94 with pre-wired towbar installation
Due to defects in the wiring harness, the pre-wired installation must be modified when fitting accessory wiring for fog lights and direction indicator monitoring in Sweden, the Nordic countries and Australia.
This is to ensure correct operation of the fog light and direction indicator monitoring.

Remove the luggage compartment trim on the left-hand side.
|
|
2.
|
Locate the 8-pin connector for towbar installation.
|
|
3.
|
Extract pin 5 and cut off the cable joining pin 8 with pin 5.
|
|
4.
|
Locate the 4-pin connector behind the left wheel housing in the luggage compartment and cut off the thick blue/brown (BU/BN) cable on pin 2
|
|
5.
|
Solder on an extra length of cable to the thick blue/brown (BU/BN) cable and fit a piece of shrink sleeve over the solder.
|
|
6.
|
Fit a new pin to the cable and connect it to position 5 in the 8-pin connector.
|
|
7.
|
Check the operation and refit the luggage compartment trim on the left-hand side.
