SRS warning lamp
SRS warning lamp |
Faults in the system are indicated by the SRS symbol in the main instrument unit coming on and shining continuously. If the car is equipped with central warning lamp, it will come on together with the SRS lamp.
When the ignition key is turned to start or drive the SRS lamp comes on for 3-4 seconds and then goes out provided there are no stored diagnostic trouble codes.
If diagnostic trouble codes are stored the lamp will shine for 3-4 seconds and then go out for half a second and then come on and shine continuously until the ignition is turned off or the diagnostic trouble codes are cleared.
If the airbags have been activated the SRS lamp will shine continuously.
SRS lamp power supply
The SRS lamp is supplied with current via fuse 17 and grounded by the control module via pin 7.
If the control module connector is unplugged, the lamps will be grounded to connector pin 6 via the short-circuit contacts and come on continuously.
