AC compressor
AC compressor |
The AC compressor is always on in the Auto mode. When the AC compressor is on the ACC control module sends Batt + to ICE. As long as the coolant temperature does not exceed +126 ° C ICE sends a Batt + via the antifrost thermostat to the engine management system. The engine management system compensates the idling speed and after a short delay sends ground via the low and high-pressure monitor to the AC relay. When the AC relay activates, the current is connected to the AC compressor solenoid clutch. The engine management system breaks the circuit to the AC relay in the event of a powerful acceleration. In Auto mode and during normal driving conditions as well as when the outside temperature is above approx. + 1 ° C, it is the antifrost thermostat that determines if the AC compressor is running or not. The reason that the AC compressor runs even when cooling is not necessary, is that the evaporator dries the damp incoming air to prevent misting in damp weather conditions. The AC compressor can be disengaged with the ECON button.
