Coolant temperature

Coolant temperature

The engine coolant temperature sensor is connected to the ICE. ICE uses the coolant temperature to control the radiator fan and to disengage the AC compressor at high temperatures. The main instrument unit obtains the temperature signal from ICE. The main instrument unit uses this to control the temperature gauge and to send coolant temperature signals to the ACC control module. The ACC control module uses the coolant temperature as an input value to decide whether there is a cold start situation. If this is the case, the air distribution and the fan speed will be controlled as a function of the coolant temperature. If the coolant temperature is missing, the ACC control module calculates a substitute value that is 0 ° C on starting and gradually increased to 100 ° C.
