Remove the cover for the door mirror.

Remove the opening handle by undoing the screw under the cover.
|
3. |
Remove the door pull cover.
|
4. |
Remove the screws securing the door trim.
|
5. |
Remove the expander rivets.
|
6. |
Carefully pull away the door trim and lift it off the lock button.

7. |
Remove the boot lid release button.

To reduce the number of different spare parts in stock, the same door trim is used for the Saab 900 Coupé and the Saab 900 Convertible. When fitting a new door trim on the Saab 900 Convertible, the top front corner of the trim must be cut as follows:

Mark out the position for the cut.

Place a rule along the mark and cut off the corner. Use a hacksaw or knife.

3. |
Put the boot lid release button in place.
|
4. |
Position the door trim and press it in place.
|
5. |
Tighten the screws and fit the locking washer.
|
6. |
Put back the door pull cover.
|
7. |
Refit the opening handle, tighten the screw and press on the cover.
|
8. |
Put back the cover for the door mirror.
