To remove |
1. |
Remove the rear-view mirror.

Remove the door trim.
|
3. |
Remove the inner weatherstrip (it must be modified before being refitted).

4. |
Loosen the front of the outer weatherstrip.
|
5. |
Remove the door mirror base seal.
|
To fit |

Glue the new seal to the point of the metal flange. Use adhesive 30 08 075 3M Super Weatherstrip.

Press the seal into the groove for the glass.

3. |
Raise the window and pull down the seal so that it seals round the front edge of the window.

4. |
Fold up the seal and apply adhesive 30 08 075 3M Super Weatherstrip to the bottom part.

Glue on the seal.
Cars with VIN up to and including T7004728, continue with step 6. Cars with VIN from T7004729, continue with step 8. |

Press on the front part and mark with a centre punch where the hole for the rivet is to be drilled.

Drill an 8 mm hole at the mark. Remove burrs and loose cuttings and paint. Clean with Teroson Cleaner FL. Apply Standox 1K Füllprimer and finishing paint. Apply cavity sealant Terotex HV 400 or Mercasol 1 to interior surfaces.
Fit the rivet. |

Fit the inner and outer weatherstrip on the door.

Make sure there are holes drilled in the door pockets. See
If there are no holes, carry out the procedure described in MI 811-1663 and fit the door trim. |
