Ends of second bow incorrectly cut?
The ends of the second bow must be flat over an area at least 5 mm wide where they rest against the stops when the soft top is completely raised. If the area is less than 5 mm, the second bow must be changed. |

From VIN V7008824, the bow is cut towards the rear of the car.

Is the round rubber plug not fitted in the second bow's square rubber stop on the front side rail?
Fit the rubber plug, see arrow. See Make sure all modifications have been carried out. |

Is the threaded rod for the second bow drive link rattling?

Remove the screws securing the left-hand side of the threaded rod for the second bow.

Fit lock nut 49 01 153 on the bow.

Fit the threaded rods and adjust them to 185.5 mm.

Lock the joint with the nut.

Apply threadlocker to the screws and screw on the threaded rod to the middle rail of the soft top mechanism. Make sure the parts do not bind while tightening them by moving the second bow backwards and forwards.
