Seals


The location and method of securing the various seals are illustrated in the following pages. If the seal is adjustable, this will also be specified together with in which direction it is adjustable. How to adjust the seal is described in the section "Adjustment/replacement".

Soft top


1. Windscreen frame seal

Seals between the soft top and the windscreen member as well as between the A-pillars and the door frames. The seal is pressed onto a metal flange on the A-pillars and into a retaining strip on the windscreen frame.

2. Front rail seal

Seals between the soft top and the door frame. It is screwed to a holder, which in turn is screwed to the first rail of the soft top mechanism. The holder is adjustable sideways and the seal lengthways.

3. Middle rail seal

Seals between the soft top and the rear side window and rear edge of the door frame. It is screwed to a holder, which in turn is screwed to the middle rail of the soft top mechanism. The holder is adjustable sideways and the seal lengthways.

4. Rear rail seal

Seals between the soft top and the rear side window. It is screwed to the rear rail of the soft top mechanism.

5. Lower seal, rear rail

Seals the bottom end of the rear rail. It is screwed to a bracket, which in turn is screwed to the rear rail. The height of the bracket is adjustable and the seal can be adjusted sideways and lengthways.

6. Fifth bow seal

Seals between the fifth bow and the soft top cover. It is pressed into a groove in the fifth bow.

7. Soft top cover seal

Seals between the soft top cover and the body. It is pressed onto a metal flange around the soft top storage space.


Windows



1. Outer window-well seal, door window

Seals between the outside of the door window and the door. It is pressed onto the outer door plate and is secured with a clip at the rear.

2. Inner window-well seal, door window

Seals between the door window and the door. It is pressed onto the seal holder flange.

3. Front seal, door window

Seals between the front part of the door window and the base of the door mirror. It is pressed onto the front window guide rail.

4. Outer window-well seal, rear side window

Seals between the outside of the rear side window and the side plate. it is integrated with the decor strip on the top edge of the side plate, which in turn is pressed onto the side plate flange.

5. Inner window-well, rear side window

Seals between the inside of the rear side window and the inner side plate. It is pressed onto a holder that is screwed to the inner side reinforcement. The holder is sideways adjustable.

6. Front seal, rear side window

Seals between the rear side window and the door window. It is integrated with the rear side window.


Doors and boot lid



1. Door opening seal

Seals between the door and the A-pillar, sill and B-pillar. It is pressed onto a metal flange and secured to the sill with seven clips plus one clip on the rear end of the seal.

2. Sill seal

Seal between the bottom of the door and the sill. It is pressed onto weld screws in the sill.

3. Door opening, rear edge

Seals between the rear edge of the door and the B-pillar. It is secured with eight clips.

4. Luggage compartment opening

Seals between the boot lid and the luggage compartment. It is pressed onto the metal fcompartment.
